Okudart

Curated by Just Kids for the Life is Beautiful festival, Okuda San Miguel accomplished a mural intervention - “The Rest of the Three Graces” - and the placement of a 18-foot sculpture - “Smile King Bear”- in Las Vegas.

Both have instantly become part of the artistic heritage of the city. The sculpture is a giant, multicolored bear with interesting geometric compositions that make the creature come to life. After the festival, it will be permanently on display at a new location in town.

Okuda’s unique iconographic language of multicolored geometric forms and patterns in the streets, railroads, and repurposed buildings around the globe have made him one of the world’s most recognizable street artists of today.

Often identified as Pop Surrealism, his works carry a clear essence of street art. Although his works can be found in streets and galleries around the world, Okuda is perhaps best known for painting on the ceiling and interior walls of Kaos Temple, an abandoned church in Spain that was salvaged and transformed into a public skate park. This modern day fresco has become a new icon of contemporary art.
